James A. Schorner, P.A. was established in 1982 when I left the employ of Touche Ross & Co. (now known as Deloitte & Touche) as a manager in their tax department. I had decided that as a partner of that firm, I would not be able to do the type of work that I enjoyed most - personal financial counseling. By practicing as an attorney I would be able to do the tax planning and preparation for which I had extensive experience as well as preparing wills and trusts and administering estates. The practice was established as a legal specialty. Minimal litigation would be practiced but service to clients would be emphasized.
