Shannon joined the firm in January 2011 after practicing in the area for 6 1/2 years. Her focus is on preparing both simple and complex wills, revocable trusts, and various other trusts, including charitable trusts and irrevocable life insurance trusts. She also prepares estate tax returns and administers trusts, estates and guardianships.
She was born and raised in Minnesota and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in History and Secondary Education at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. After college, she lived in St. Louis, Missouri for 8 years where she taught elementary school and was a paralegal for a large corporate service company. While in St. Louis, she studied for and received her Master’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Webster University. She then moved to Albany, New York, where she worked as a paralegal for a large law firm and returned to law school, receiving her Juris Doctor with a concentration in Estate Planning from Albany Law School in Albany, New York in 2004.
She is an avid reader, loves to travel and cook, and is an amateur genealogist.
She is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Indian River County Bar Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Dasie Bridgewater Hope Center in Wabasso, Florida.
